If you want a cool overlay of your Discord chats on your Twitch stream, you’ll need to do a few things.

First, if you haven’t integrated the two accounts yet, open your Discord app and follow these steps:

Open User Settings or click the little gear icon near the bottom of the window.
Open Connection and choose the Twitch icon.
Follow the steps to log into your Twitch account (and you’ll need administrator privileges to do so).
Create a new server and sync it on Server Settings.
Select the newly added Twitch Integration option and set up a new server. Sync your servers.

Now that you’re integrated and in sync, it’s time to connect your chats to Twitch. The simplest way to do this is to use Discord’s Streamkit for OBS.

Select tabs Chat Widgets and configure as needed.
Copy the URL for the widget you just created (located in the text box below the sample image).
Open your OBS application.
Add sources with the push of a button + near the bottom of the window.
Choose Browsers from the drop down menu and create a new one.
Name your new Browser source. Paste the URL widget from Streamkit into the URL text box in the OBS window.
Save changes by pressing the button OK.

If you did this correctly, you will see your Discord chats alongside your Twitch chats in your stream.

How to Connect Twitch Emotes to Discord

Before you can use Twitch emotes on Discord, you must allow them on your server. Luckily, all it takes is a few mouse clicks to enable external emotes on your Discord Server:

Launch Discord and open it Server Settings.
Go to Roles and search for it Use External Emoji.
Set permissions for everyone or just subscribers and moderators to use external emoji.
