Microsoft is rolling out a new Copilot experience that works with Bing Chat AI allowing users to interact with chatbots using natural language change system settings and more.
The new Copilot feature is only available for some machines enrolled in the Microsoft Insider Preview program.
For computers that have Copilot added, a new Copilot button will appear on taskbar. It will appear as a flyout interface when you press a key or use a keyboard shortcut (Windows key + C).
Add or remove Copilot from the Taskbar
As mentioned above, a new Copilot button will appear on the Taskbar for computers that have it enabled or turned on.
Here’s how to hide or show the Copilot button.
First, open the Windows Settings app.
You can do this by clicking Start menu and choose Arrangement. Or press the keyboard shortcut (Windows key + I) to launch the Settings app.

Under Taskbar items on the settings panel Personalization->Taskbartoggle the toggle button for (Copilot preview) to position Active (default) to enable it.

Another way to show or hide the Copilot button on the Taskbar is via Local Group Policy Editor.
To do this, first, open it Local Group Policy Editor by clicking Start and browse Edit group policy, as highlighted below.
Then, choose Edit group policy on the Best match to launch Local Group Policy Editor.

In the left pane of Local Group Policy Editorexpand the tree:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar
In Start Menu and Taskbar details pane on the right, locale, and double click settings Hide the Copilot button.
On Hide the Copilot button settings window, select one of the options below:
Not Configured – Same as Non-active. The Copilot feature will be available to all users. Activate – The Co-pilot button will be hidden, and the Settings switch will be disabled. Non-active – The Copilot button will be visible, and the Settings switch will be activated.
Choose Okay.

Add or remove the Copilot button on the Taskbar via the Windows Registry Editor
Another way to add or remove the Copilot button on the Taskbar is to use Windows Registry editor.
To do so, open the Windows Registry editor, and unlock the folder below.

If you don’t see Folder Lock explorer right-click the parent key windows then create a subkey folder (explorer).
