Find the Model Name and Number in Windows Settings

1. Open it Settings app from the Windows Start menu. Or, press Windows + I to open it.

2. Here select an option System in the left sidebar.

3. Now at the top of the Settings app, you will see the model name and number together. For example, in the image below, TUF Gaming is the model name and FX505DY is the model number.

When the Settings app is good enough to find what model and specification of Windows you have, it fails. However there is another hidden app in Windows which will show more details.

1. Open System Information application from the Windows Start menu.

2. You will see the model name and model number next to the entry System Models. Like the Settings app, the model name and model number will be listed together here.

How to Find Windows Laptop Specifications

There are many ways to find out the specifications of your Windows device such as processor, RAM, storage space and graphics card details.

Find Windows Laptop Processor/CPU Details

1. Open Windows Start, search System Information applicationand open it.

2. Apart from processor details, you will also find detailed info like core, BIOS version and other important details.

Or, you can also open Settings app > System > About to find processor details. But certain details like core are missing here.

Find the RAM/Memory Installed in Windows Laptop Details

1. Open Windows Start, search System Information application and open it.

2. Scroll down and you will find RAM installed in your PC on the side Installed Physical Memory (RAM).

Find Windows Laptop Graphics Card/GPU Details

GPU details are missing in Settings and System Information app. But you can use Task Manager to find out which GPU supports your favorite Windows games.

1. Open Windows Start and search Task Manager application and Open.

2. Here select an option Performance in the left sidebar. Then, select an option GPUs 0 .

3. On the top right corner, you can find your Windows Laptop Graphics Card details.

4. GPU 0 is the primary GPU in your laptop. This will be your dedicated GPU. but if your laptop doesn’t have a dedicated GPU, there should be an integrated GPU.

5. On the same Performance tab, select GPU 1 option which is the integrated GPU in your laptop. On the GPU 1 page, you should find the card details in the right corner.
