Microsoft introduced a new “Home” page for the Settings app available in Windows 11. The new page is available from build 23493, and features a design that uses interactive cards (similar to a widget) that represent different devices and account-related settings.
According to company, a new Home page for Settings gives you an overview of your device, quick access to specific settings, and helps you manage your account. The page groups cards dynamically depending on how you access the settings on your computer. Plus, each card has been optimized to provide only the most relevant information and controls, allowing you to quickly adjust settings in setup.
The Home page includes two sections. At the top, you’ll find some basic information about the device, including a desktop preview, computer name, and an option to change the device name.

On the right, the page displays the network status along with the name of the network adapter. Clicking on the item will take you to the settings section “Internet Network”.

At the bottom, you will find interactive cards, which currently supports up to seven cards, including “Recommended settings”, “Cloud storage”, “Account recovery”, “Personalization”, “Microsoft 365”, “Xbox”, and” Bluetooth device”.

Recommended settings: Tailored to your specific usage patterns, providing timely and relevant setting options. Cloud storage: Offers an overview of your cloud storage usage and notifies you when you are approaching capacity. Account recovery: Provides recommendations for the security of your Microsoft account with the option to add additional recovery info. Personalization: Make customizations pop with one-click access to update your background theme or change the color mode. Microsoft 365: Provides a quick overview of your subscription status and benefits and the ability to take important actions. This release includes seven cards, but the company will be adding more in future releases. The only caveat is that this system works automatically, and you can’t delete, rearrange, or select the cards you want to provision.
The Settings Home page shows it is automatically available after installing build 23493, but if not, you can use these instructions to enable it.
